Vern Heacock and his wife Diane, President and Secretary / Treasurer respectively, have owned and operated Town & Country Builders of Goshen since 1978. They have seventeen full time employees that do all the framing, decks, woodworking and trim detail. All of their employees portray excellent craftsmanship and are conscientious workers which plays an important role in the success of their business.
Building over eighteen homes each year, Town & Country Builders also utilizes an area architect and an interior designer who work very well with Vern. He is also very selective in using sub-contractors in the building process in addition to his own employees.
Vern strives toward a solid but flexible working relationship with the customer from the very beginning. He guides the customer through the process of creative design and planning of their home that reflects their lifestyle and budget. Town & Country Builders homes are well designed to harmonize with the building site and to give a lot of attention to architectural detail and charm as well as using high quality materials, energy saving features, and excellent craftsmanship. Town & Country Builders also has a standard warranty that includes follow-up service after completion. This provides the home owner security knowing that Vern will come back to make repairs if needed.
Each year since 1983, Vern has been showing Town & Country Builders' quality work and design in the Elkhart Country Parade of homes. This has given Town & Country Builders great exposure in the area and has also demonstrated their "Standard of Excellence" and innovative ideas. Vern is an active member of the Elkhart County Builders Association, and also attends Builders' Conventions both on State and National levels. This helps him to keep him informed of current design and construction trends as well as the newest in products in products and materials.
Vern's excitement upon ground breaking carries through on every house regardless of the size. Designing and building a new home for a specific family is something Vern really enjoys, and he "just wants to make each house the nicest possible home for the investment."
